Carrie Buell’s interest in photography started at the young age of six when her parents gave her a small point and shoot. Some of those images from that very first roll of film hang proudly in her home today. It was at that age she chose to base her future career in her newfound passion.

Carrie grew up on a horse farm just north of Sioux Falls, SD. Her pursuit of photography led her to Santa Barbara, CA, where she attended Brooks Institute of Photography and studied commercial advertising. While attending school, she opened a photo studio co-op in downtown Los Angeles where she focused on fashion, beauty, portrait, and product work. Wanting to expand her horizons, she moved on from studio life and became the lead photographer at Leon Max, a fashion design company.

After four years in LA and two years in Minneapolis, Carrie made the move to New York City in 2010. She is currently residing in Manhattan and assembling a team to continue to create beautiful images.
